Cem Karaca's Tears tells the life story of Cem Karaca, the legendary name of Anatolian rock music who passed away on February 8, 2004 and who has produced many works such as "Tamirci Çırağı", "Namus Belası", "Bu Son Olsun", "Resimdeki Gözyaşları". The production, which tells the unknowns of Cem Karaca's life, one of the inspiring names with his music career and private life, reveals the great successes, conflicts, loves and ups and downs in a life of fifty-eight years spent in music.

It begins with Cem Karaca's interest in music blossoming in his high school years. The story, which begins with him forming his first music band in high school and gaining stage experience, covers the turning points of Karaca's career, the innovations he brought to rock music in Türkiye, his political stance and his years in exile.

The film also conveys the artist's personal struggles, his relationship with his family and the process of his return to Türkiye to the audience, thus revealing Karaca's life as a whole.
